I remember watching it back in the sixties and never realised at the time that Thomas Mitchell and been a Hollywood star. Came as a great surprise when I later saw him in Stagecoach, Gone With The Wind and It’s A Wonderful Life.
By the way, the villain in William Tell is Landburger Gessler, played by Willoughby Goddard. Landburger is his title
